Ghyczy egg chair

Excellent vintage white-blue Garden Egg, designed in the late sixties by the Hungarian émigré Peter Ghyczy. The conceptualisation & production of this chair are loaded with the complexities of East-West relations during the Cold War era, yet the design shows some typical features of the period: portability, a genuine space-age-look, fiberglass, and bright coloured lacquer.
