Vintage Ghyczy egg chair

Excellent vintage white-orange Garden Egg, designed in the late sixties by the Hungarian émigré Peter Ghyczy. The conceptualisation & production of this chair are loaded with the complexities of East-West relations during the Cold War era, yet the design shows some typical features of the period: portability, a genuine space-age-look, fiberglass, and bright coloured lacquer. Originally designed as a fully waterproof piece of outdoor furniture, the chair is nowadays extremely well-fitted to lift up any type of interior! Good condition, small crack up front and the bottom buttons are missing (yet not missed)
