PJ could salvage this little desk lamp in the far south of Hungary. With a little renovation work we could turn this dirty and rusty item into a real gem.
It was produced in the fifties by the Italian company 'Seminara Torino'. They were the first to specialise in industrial lighting.
STEP 1: disassemble. And remember how to get it together again afterwards.
This one really needs to be rewired.
STEP 2: cleaning. I use wet aluminum foil for the chromed metal. Removes rusty spots quickly, but you can not use it too enthusiastically or you get scratches
And this is the moment I get a kick: when an object unveils its history. I discovered a real gem: 'Seminara Torino'
